6 The Tools Toolbar

In Paint Shop Pro the tools toolbar can be shown at any time with View > Toolbars > Tools. Recall that some cells of the tools toolbar (indicated with a small triangle in the corner) give access to more than one tool - hold down the mouse over the triangle to switch to a different tool. To view the options associated with the selected tool you should also make sure that the Tool Options palette is displayed (View > Palettes > Tool Options or just F4)

Not all the tools are covered by this introductory course. While using Paint Shop Pro, you can view information about a tool by holding the cursor over it. A tool tip displays the tool name and shortcut key, and the Status bar (located along the bottom of the main Paint Shop Pro window) displays hints for using the tool.
