A very common problem in photographs is that the camera was held at
an angle when the picture was taken, so that lines that should be
horizontal such as the horizon on the ocean end up sloping. Paint Shop
Pro has a simple tool for straightening pictures, the straightening tool
(you may find this hidden under the
Deform tool
). I've included this on
this page because straightening a picture is usually accompanied by
cropping it - I suggest you turn on this option once you have selected
the tool. The following photo, taken in Tahiti, is a case in
point...

When you choose the straightening tool, a straightening line appears on the
picture - drag the ends of the line until it exactly follows the horizon then
simply double-click the picture to finish. Since you selected 'crop image' some
of the image has been trimmed in order not to leave any blank areas in the
corners. Save your work.
Another way to rotate images is to use Image > Rotate...
but this is really only useful if you know exactly how many degrees you want to
rotate the image (e.g. 90° clockwise).
