4 Sound
Up

3D Flash Animator can incorporate various types of sounds into your movie and can make them play either when the movie starts or when a specific event occurs. If you want to experiment with sounds in the CIV computer rooms then don't forget to ask for headphones for there are no speakers built in to the computers.

There are two ways to add a new sound to your movie:
bulletAdd an element>Clipart Library>Sounds. There are 42 sounds available here, mostly in the MP3 format. You can 'preview' them by hitting the green play button before adding them to the movie by clicking their names.
bulletAdd an element>Load a file object can be used to add a sound file stored anywhere on your computer. 3D Flash Animator can import several different sound formats including WAV, MP3 and AU.
bulletAdd an element>New Sound can NOT be used to add a new sound to your movie, only to mix existing sounds. The use of the the New Sound element is not recommended.

By default, a sound that has been added to your movie will start playing as soon as the movie starts. To change this, first turn off the 'play at the start of the movie' button - it's the second button here: and you can find it in the movie's elements list. Then add a 'play sound' event to the the movie and you can play the sound at any time you want - you can also force the sound to stop playing with a 'stop play' event.

Wasn't that easy!
